Her outward
appearance
does not define
her worth,
for she has
the ability to
see beneath
the surface to
the foundation
of her inner
strength.
She draws
wisdom,
from this
place within,
deciphering
truth from lies,
trading insecurities
for her crown
of beauty,
and upholding
hope over defeat.

I love this post Denise! So true of many of us survivors. We gain a “supernatural” sense of truth vs. lies by our exposure to so much deception. We place a greater value on TRUTH in our lives as a result of our having to live with our abusers’ lies and “acts” put on in front of people. We saw and some still see them succeed in duping many and hiding their true “wolf” selves with their double lives ,which too often worked. They still have many “allies” complicit in their evil-even Christians who know the truth about the abuse side with the abusers. Or they remain silent. Both are betrayals to victims and to God Who says to EXPOSE EVIL AND FLEE IT.
God truly uses pain and turns it into a GOOD purpose. You are fulfilling one of your purposes with your insightful beautiful posts. Thank you for them.
